"How did I fuck this up so badly. I completely missed Valentine's Day. Ok, I've not been going our with Avery that long, but at the least I should have taken her out, but one thing got on top of another, I completely forgot! To her credit, she never even complained or said anything. It was a girl at work who asked me what I got my girlfriend for Valentines ... and oh boy, did I feel bad? So I went over today with some chocolate covered strawberries (which I know are Avery's favourite treat) and a cute balloon, a sheepish grin and a big apology. I give them to her and she said, 'I hate Valentine's Day ... it is so forced, it's much nicer to be surprised like this, thank you honey, let me give you your present, as she fed me a strawberry while dropping to her knees, and unzipping my pants."
